This is more strange than dumb, because it wasn’t even necessary, since it wasn’t reporting on what was said.
A wedding DJ says: “And now it’s time for everyone to get on the floor for the last dance.”
And the caption (after writing the above statement from the DJ) says: “(Tony Bennett’s ‘Love Is the Thing’ plays)”.
And we hear the silky sounds of Nat “King” Cole singing “Love Is the Thing”.
The closing credits say only “Music Editor…..Tom Trafalski”, but why would the captioner make such a gratuitous mistake when it was (at least as far as the producers were concerned) extraneous information?
